I had a lovely long weekend at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester, which is fabulously located right in the heart of the charming market town. The decor is stylish, and the breakfast selections were decent, though I found the Full English a bit bland. However, a few service hiccups, like the early kitchen closing and lack of helpful staff during busy times, did dampen my experience a bit.

Rooms
7.0
My room was beautifully styled and comfortable, but I wish there had been more storage space, as just six hangers in a wardrobe didn't cut it for a three-night stay.
Service
6.0
The service was hit or miss. While some staff were friendly and polite, I experienced moments of abruptness, especially during peak times.
Location
8.0
Staying in the center of Cirencester made it super easy to explore, with attractions just a short walk away, but parking was a bit tricky.
Dining
7.0
I appreciated the quality of the dinner I had at the hotel, but the portion sizes felt a bit small compared to the price. Breakfast was tasty, especially the Eggs Royale, but the uncooked options were lacking.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel had a fantastic atmosphere and decent facilities, I was annoyed by the limited access to valuable amenities like the spa without prior booking.

I was looking forward to my stay at the King's Head Hotel, especially given its central location in Cirencester. but my experience left much to be desired. The initial check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly, yet the hot tub in the spa was broken during my visit, which was disappointing. To top it off, I faced constant noise disturbances from outside, making it hard to relax during my stay.

Rooms

The room I received was not well-prepared. it had cleanliness issues which were quite shocking. I had to complain about some dirty features that I found, and while I was moved to a different room, it still didn’t feel like an upgrade to me.
Service
5.0
I did appreciate the help from the reception staff who were polite and apologetic. but the response to my complaints lacked urgency. I felt more could have been done to rectify the situation, especially after experiencing unclean accommodations.
Location

The hotel is situated right in the centre of Cirencester, so I easily explored the charming market town. although the noise from the surrounding areas during the night was quite bothersome and interfered with my sleep.

While dining at the hotel had potential. the quality of food didn't impress me. I found the breakfast options limited, and the service was rather slow, which took away from the overall experience.

When I booked, I was really looking forward to the spa services. but with the hot tub broken, it felt like a major part of the experience was missing. The hotel did have some appealing features but overall didn't deliver on what was promised.

I was genuinely excited about my stay at the Kings Head Hotel, especially given the decent package I booked that included breakfast and dinner. However, the experience had mixed results. While I appreciated the comfort of the bed and the delicious food, the lackluster customer service and inconsistencies really brought my spirits down. 😕✨

I had a wonderful stay at the King's Head Hotel in Cirencester. The cozy bar area was perfect for relaxing after our spa experiences, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. However, I did encounter minor issues with noise from the surrounding activities in the hotel, which slightly affected the tranquility of our stay.

Being right in the center of Cirencester made it easy for me to explore the charming town and find great restaurants nearby. The market square was just steps away, which was a significant advantage.
Dining

The thermal suite was fantastic and very relaxing. I would recommend booking it ahead of time for guaranteed use upon arrival. The overall historical charm of the hotel was truly good.

I had a mixed experience at the Kings Head Hotel. The room I initially booked was quite spacious and seemed newly refurbished, though I did notice some cleanliness issues, like a few unwanted pests. The breakfast wasn't bad, but it certainly didn’t stand out either. The hotel’s location in the heart of Cirencester was a big plus, offering easy access to local shops and attractions, though parking was a hassle on my second night.

Rooms
